Hawkins-Poe Real Estate Outlook March 2024

As winter fades and spring approaches, the real estate market in Washington is experiencing a notable
uptick in activity. One of the key highlights of the current market scenario is the year-over-year
increase in the number of homes available for sale. Among the 26 counties covered by the Northwest
Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS), 17 have reported a rise in active listings compared to last year.

The overall market trend reflects this positive momentum, with a nearly 4% year-over-year increase
in active listings across the Washington counties served by the NWMLS. This upswing hints at a
broader shift in market dynamics, potentially offering more options for prospective buyers as the
spring season progresses.

With the weather warming up and an uptick in active listings across several counties, optimism for
home buyers in Washington State is growing! Working with an experienced real estate agent will be
the key to navigating the current market.
